Book the experience, not just the house name
Mercier’s official visit page makes the distinction concrete: The Founder lasts 45 minutes with one Blanc de Noirs tasting, from €25; Mercier Duo lasts 1 hour with Blanc de Noirs and Brut Rosé, from €30; Golden Bubbles lasts 1 hour with three wines, from €35 (checked October 2026). Each includes the underground train. The wine selection and duration change with the ticket.
On Mercier’s booking page, select the named experience, date, number of adults and children, and language. Guided visits are listed in French and English; the audio route is available in 11 languages, including a French sign-language tablet option. A ticket described as audio-guided is different from a guide speaking English throughout.
Mercier’s Bubble Talk and Tell Me More About Vintage both last 1 hour 30 minutes and start at €45 (checked October 2026). Bubble Talk pours Brut, Blanc de Noirs and Brut Rosé; the vintage experience pours Mercier Vintage and Blanc de Noirs. A higher price does not necessarily mean more glasses: it can represent a different wine or format.
Some houses use a request instead of instant tickets
Billecart-Salmon’s visit request form is a direct application, not an instantly guaranteed reservation. The house prioritises professionals, loyal clients and partners, considers reasoned direct requests from enthusiasts, and does not process third-party requests from agencies or private drivers. It accepts no booking more than 3 months ahead.
Billecart-Salmon’s published visit days are Monday–Friday from October to March and Monday–Saturday from April to October, with one visit per half-day on Saturdays. Sundays and public holidays are closed. The house does not admit children under 12 or pets. Its published address is 40 rue Carnot, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ.
Pol Roger explicitly states that it is not open to public visits. Its Avenue de Champagne façade belongs in an exterior walk, not a list of tour tickets. For a public Épernay cellar experience, use the official booking pages for Moët & Chandon, Mercier or Boizel; the house directory labels each visitor position separately.

Use the visitor entrance on the reservation
Leclerc Briant’s Le 25bis address is an Avenue de Champagne guesthouse, shop and tasting address; its cellar location is on chemin de la Chaude Ruelle. Gosset’s visitor domain is in Épernay despite its historic association with Aÿ. The address printed on the selected experience takes priority over a general search result for the brand.
At Reims Centre, À la Française’s e-bike trip meets beside the railway station tourist office, not the cathedral office. For an organised excursion, retain the operator’s meeting-point description and telephone number with the booking. A transfer to the correct town is insufficient if it delivers you to the wrong office.
Access, children and the booking record
Mercier explicitly describes its tours as accessible to people with reduced mobility and provides a non-alcoholic alternative for children and teenagers; teenagers must be accompanied by an adult. Billecart-Salmon applies an under-12 restriction. Those two policies demonstrate why a single regional rule for children or step-free access would be inaccurate.
Save the house’s booking confirmation with the experience name, language, date, entrance and cancellation conditions. For Mercier, the official page supplies +33 3 26 51 22 22 for last-minute availability enquiries. For an appointment-only grower, retain the producer’s written acceptance: sending an enquiry is not evidence that a place has been reserved.
